Abstract Background Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is the most frequent and prevalent medical condition in pregnancy. Well-controlled GDM results reduction of these unfavorable outcomes. Aim To assess women’s knowledge many elements gestational mellitus, including general awareness condition, risk factors, diabetic patients’ diets, consequences among women governorate Sohag. Patients methods In this research, 500 were chosen at random from a population, over period 6 months, to participate descriptive survey utilizing questionnaire approach Sohag Governorate. Results The mean total score was 9.62 ± 4.24. A 69.6% study participants showed good (≥ 9), while 30.4% them low about diabetes.
